According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday.
Currently, continental air prevails over most of Pakistan, with a shallow westerly expected to enter the upper regions by Thursday.
The forecast indicates isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorms in various districts including Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Kohistan, Chitral, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, and Waziristan during Thursday and Friday.
Peshawar is expected to have maximum temperatures ranging from 40-42°C on Thursday and 39-41°C on Friday.
The previous 24 hours saw hot and dry conditions in Peshawar and most districts, with Bannu recording the highest temperature at 46°C. Evening relative humidity was noted at 20%.
Today’s weather forecast for Peshawar predicts mostly sunny skies with temperatures between 43°C and 27°C. The ‘feels like’ temperature is expected to be around 41°C, with humidity at 13% and a minimal chance of precipitation.
