PML-N Criticized for Taking Credit for Arshad Nadeem’s Victory – Watch Video!

PML-N faced backlash on social media after a statement from Prime Minister Youth Programme Chairman Rana Mashood, who credited PM Shehbaz Sharif for Arshad Nadeem’s historic win in the Paris Olympics 2024.

During an appearance on ARY News’ “Sports Room,” Mashood claimed that Arshad Nadeem was discovered at the Punjab Youth Festival in 2012, a platform introduced by Shehbaz Sharif when he was the Chief Minister. He emphasized that the festival provided opportunities for young athletes, including Nadeem.

Mashood’s statement followed a viral video where he congratulated PM Shehbaz, attributing Nadeem’s success to the Prime Minister’s vision. Nadeem ended Pakistan’s 32-year Olympic medal drought with a record-breaking 92.97-meter throw in the javelin final.

Rana Mashood also asserted that the PML-N government provided financial support to the athlete and that PM Shehbaz regularly met with Nadeem, a claim that has sparked widespread debate and criticism online.
