WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform owned by Meta, has introduced a new feature that helps users identify which chats are using the most memory. Many users often worry about their WhatsApp storage being full, but this new tool simplifies managing storage space.
Most users are unaware of certain hidden tricks within WhatsApp, one of which allows you to see who you interact with the most. Below is the method to easily determine which conversations are consuming the most space on your device:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
- Tap the three dots (Menu) in the top right corner.
- Navigate to “Settings.”
- Select “Storage and Data.”
- Then click on “Manage Storage.”
In addition to this update, Meta has also announced plans to introduce a feature supporting third-party video and voice calls by 2027.
Despite these changes, Meta emphasizes that user privacy and security will continue to be a top priority. WhatsApp users will be notified to update their app settings once this feature is launched.
In another development, WhatsApp is testing a feature that allows users to open status updates directly from the viewer list. With this update, users will see a green ring around a contact’s profile photo in the list of status viewers, indicating if the contact has also posted a status.
