Imran Khan Announces PTI Protest in Islamabad on 24th November 2024

Faisal Chaudhry, the lawyer of PTI founder Imran Khan, has shared that a march to Islamabad has been called for November 24. The announcement has stirred significant attention, as it comes with strong political implications.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Chaudhry confirmed that a committee has been set up for the march. However, he refrained from revealing the names of the members involved. He emphasized that the protest will not be limited to Islamabad, with protests expected across Pakistan and even globally.

Chaudhry made it clear that the protest would continue until the demands of the PTI founder were met. The main request is for the withdrawal of the controversial 26th Amendment and the reinstatement of PTI’s mandate. Furthermore, the protest aims to secure the release of individuals detained without trial.

According to Chaudhry, the entire PTI leadership will join the protest. He added that the party is fully aware of their roles and that the responsibility to call off the protest lies with a committee, whose names he is yet to disclose to avoid potential arrests.

In line with the protest plans, Chaudhry also revealed that Ali Amin Gandapur, following the PTI founder’s instructions, will lead a convoy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to join the demonstration in Islamabad.

This announcement has raised questions about the future course of political action in Pakistan as the country braces for a massive protest that could impact both national and international political dynamics.
