Actor Allu Arjun visited KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad’s Begumpet on Tuesday to meet Sri Teja, a child injured during the stampede at Sandhya Theatre.
The incident occurred during the premiere of Arjun’s latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. Sri Teja, who had been in critical condition, is now receiving medical care. Arjun’s visit was captured in several videos and pictures circulating on social media, where he was seen entering the hospital in a green sweater and black pants, accompanied by his team.
Telangana State Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju was also present during the visit, which followed a previously cancelled plan to meet the child on January 5. The police had issued a notice for Arjun’s visit, advising confidentiality to maintain public order.
The actor had expressed deep concern for Sri Teja’s recovery, having been advised not to visit earlier due to ongoing legal proceedings. The child had reportedly shown positive signs of recovery by December 24, responding after being unresponsive for 20 days.
The stampede, which occurred on December 4, resulted in one fatality and several injuries. A case was filed against Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management, though Arjun was granted bail in January.
