In preparation for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, the Islamabad administration has announced a holiday for educational institutions across the city. However, students scheduled to appear for O/A Level exams can breathe a sigh of relief, as exam centers will remain open to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations.
A/O Level Exam Centers to Remain Operational
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz, confirmed that despite the general closure of schools and colleges, O/A Level exam centers in key areas will stay open. The exams will held at three designated centers:
- E-11
- Noor Mahal, GT Road
- H-8
These centers will continue to function as per the examination schedule, providing uninterrupted services for the students appearing in their O/A Level exams.
All Other Educational Institutions to Remain Closed
While the A/O Level exam centers will remain operational, the Deputy Commissioner clarified that all other educational institutions in Islamabad will closed during the summit days. This measure aimed at managing traffic and security in the city as delegates from various countries gather for the high-profile SCO summit.
How Will This Affect Students?
Students appearing for O/A Level exams should ensure they follow the exam schedule and make necessary travel arrangements to reach their respective centers on time. The administration has taken steps to facilitate a smooth examination process amidst the summit’s activities.
For the latest updates on the exam schedule and other announcements related to the SCO summit in Islamabad, students advised to regularly check official notifications.
