Diaz is attracting attention from Spain and France as the transfer window approaches, and there’s a growing sense that if the club decides to offload one of their forwards, it would likely be the No. 7. Despite this, there haven’t been any concrete developments, and the situation is mostly based on speculation for now.

However, in April, Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra reiterated PSG’s genuine interest, supporting a Telegraph report suggesting Liverpool would demand approximately £75 million. Nevertheless, although PSG is expected to pursue a new forward after Kylian Mbappe’s departure to Real Madrid, Diaz maintains he is content at Anfield. “I am very pleased with Liverpool; it’s an excellent team and club,” he stated to Gol Caracol after Colombia’s 5-1 victory over the United States.

“I’ve always dreamt of playing there, so I’m extremely content and relaxed. I’m solely focused on the Colombian national team at the moment.” The implication is that if Diaz were to depart, it would probably be because Liverpool accepted an offer for him. Despite his father consistently promoting a move to Spain, Diaz hasn’t shown any desire to leave. In fact, Sierra also stated in April that Liverpool were willing to offer Diaz an enhanced contract to safeguard his value and deter interest from PSG.

Diaz’s current contract extends until 2027, but his importance to the team has been solidified since his arrival from Porto two-and-a-half years ago, typically resulting in a salary increase for players who progress. The 27-year-old isn’t the only Liverpool player to dismiss transfer rumors this summer, as Alexis Mac Allister also denied links with Real Madrid. “I’m not discussingy speculation; I’m extremely content at Liverpool,” he told ESPN last month. “I believe it was a successful individual season, although we couldn’t achieve all our objectives collectively. Nonetheless, I think it was a very positive season.”
