Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

2024 Spotify Wrapped is here! With more than 26.6 billion streams globally, Taylor Swift is Spotify’s 2024 Global Top Artist for the second year in a row, followed by The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Drake and Billie Eilish. The most-streamed song of 2024 is Sabrina Carpenter’s hit “Espresso” with more than 1.6 billion streams globally. Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY was the most-streamed album of 2024. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile” was the most frequently shared song from Spotify to social platforms.

Kendrick Lamar and SZA announced a new stadium tour across North America. The Grand National Tour will take over 19 stadiums starting April 19.

2024 Billboard Music Awards announced more performers – Coldplay, SEVENTEEN, Teddy Swims, Tyla, Jelly Roll. The awards hosted by Michelle Buteau will air December 12 on FOX, Amazon’s Fire TV Channels and on-demand on Paramount+.

ROSÉ has released her first studio album rosie. She co-wrote the entire project, which is her most personal and candid release to date.

V of BTS and Bing Crosy released a new duet rendition of Bing’s beloved 1942 holiday classic, “White Christmas (with V of BTS).” V has long admired Bing and said “I’m so grateful to have had the chance to be featured in a song with my all time favorite jazz artist, Bing Crosby. Being a huge fan of his, I sang with the utmost sincerity and admiration for him.”

TWICE released their new mini album Strategy, which features a new collab with Megan Thee Stallion. ET sat down with the group who shared they’re “really excited because it’s our first time having someone featured in our title track.” They will also will joining Coldplay’s tour next April in Korea and said “we really love their music so it’s such an honor and we are really happy to be a part of that.”

Actor, producer, DJ & rapper Idris Elba aka IDRIS has made his debut on U.S. house/techno label, Dirtybird Records with a new single “No Long Talk.” Idris shared that “having a release on Dirtybird is a dream come true for me.”

Last week, The Weeknd announced his new album Hurry Up Tomorrow will be out on January 24. This album serves as the final chapter in his trilogy, following After Hours and Dawn FM. The Weeknd will perform a one night only live stadium show at the Rose Bowl Stadium on January 25 to celebrate his new album. The show sold out in under an hour. Additionally, it was announced that he is the first artist in history to have 22 songs with over 1 billion streams each on Spotify.

Earlier this week, Ricky Martin gave an unforgettable performance as he headlined AIDS Healthcare Foundation’s annual World AIDS Day concert at the University of Miami. World AIDS Day is commemorated each year on December 1 as an opportunity for communities to unite in the fight against HIV.
