The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee called an urgent meeting today to observe the moon for the month of Shaban. Central Ruet e Hilal Committee announced the Shaban Moon has been sighted in Pakistan. This significant meeting include zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees, which convened at their respective headquarters in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Peshawar.

Chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad Lead the Meeting

The meeting was chaired by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan. The primary agenda was to officially confirm the sighting of the moon, which marks the beginning of the Islamic month of Shaban. The announcement regarding the moon’s sighting is made by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad following consultations with the committee members.

Ramadan 2025: Expected Start Dates

In related news, astronomers have also forecast the potential start dates for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. It is expected that Ramadan will commence on March 1, 2025, in many countries, including the Gulf states and Europe. However, certain regions may observe the start of Ramadan a day later, on March 2, 2025.
